Scorpion fans Wayne and April Small proudly display their trophy hardware at the Homecoming open house, hosted by the Harrison family. The open house allowed over 100 participants to enjoy an impressive display of Scorpion snowmobiles - thankfully presented in the warmth of the indoors! Wayne and April drove over 1,000 miles to attend Scorpion Homecoming 2007.

Hometown Scorpion fans enjoyed a strong showing of vintage Scorpion's at this year's Crosby-Ironton, Fourth of July Parade. In this photo, former Scorpion racer and dealer Les Pinz is seen skillfully motoring his wheel-kit 1970 Stinger with a Sachs 340ss. Les' granddaughter stood atop a trailing float featuring a 1971 Grand Prix made by Boatel in near-by Isle, Minnesota. Dave Johnson, Steve Pierce and Ray Finberg from the ASCOA participated as well as local collectors Dick Harrison, Jim Taylor and Don and Angie Peterson. A total of nine floats were offered to the enjoyment of the large crowds that gathered for this year's festivities.

After decades in hiding this historic 1967 Scorpion made it's Minnesota debut at Princeton's Outlaw Grass Drags. Originally piloted by Duane Parks during the now-legendary Alaskan endurance run, this proud machine was later displayed in the lobby of the Trail-A-Sled plant in Crosby, Minnesota where it stood as as living testament to the brand's durability. One of only a handful of artifacts to be rescued from the tragic fire of November 1967, this historic machine was later sold at the Arctic Cat bankruptcy auction in 1982. Of the three Scorpions that braved the historic Alaskan endurance run, this is the only one known to remain intact.

Pequot Lakes Minnesota: The 14th Annual Antique Snowmobile Rendezvous brought several industry luminaries to Pequot Lakes, including (L to R) Dick Harrison, co-founder Trail-A-Sled, Inc./Scorpion, Inc., Dave Guenther, ASCOA editor and past president, and Edgar Hetteen, co-founder of Polaris and founder of Arctic Cat. Former Scorpion Squadron member David "Mouse" Karpik of BLADE Motorsports Group, Inc. was also in attendance, providing the keynote address.

Snow Goer Magazine: The "Iron Hub Bog Busters," a Crosby-area Scorpion snowmobile club recently took a trip to West Yellowstone and found themselves featured in the magazine's mailbag segment which read: "We had quite the time with the old sleds on our trip out west. I think the best part about it was the reaction we got from the other people. Some shake their heads but most are in awe - so we like to think.  We had a lot of fun and are planning to do it again this winter. We are all from around the Iron Hub area, that is between Aitkin and Crosby, Minnesota. The people in the photo are Scott Kellerman, Josh Gravelle, Brad Holmvig, Jeff Rinta and myself Harlon Pelarski.

Joining the hundreds of exhibitors and onlookers converging upon Serpent Lake this year were (L to R): Paul Shearer, North Dakota Director of the Antique Snowmobile Club of America and Jason Tucker, Antique & Classic Snowmobile Club of Canada. 

This Honda-modified 1965 Scorpion was the talk of the gathering this year. With it's four-stroke engine and poly track, this little wonder kept the kids entertained for the bulk of a very big afternoon for Scorpion fans. 

Crosby-Ironton's July 4th parade. - Several Scorpion-themed entries joined the festivities this year, including this 1965 model promoting the Cuyuna Range Chamber of Commerce's upcoming Fifth Annual Scorpion Homecoming. This same entrant also garnered a feature photo in the Crosby-Ironton Courier. One of three extremely rare Alaskan Endurance sleds was also presented. Other Scorpion floats were provided by the Don Peterson Family and Steve Pierce of the Antique Snowmobile Club of America. In addition, former Trail-A-Sled, Inc. racer Cliff Kittelson drove a 1971 Scorpion Spyder (it had been over thirty five years since one of these ATV predecessors had driven the parade route).

Scorpion Homecoming 2009 - Making it's debut on Serpent Lake's frozen shores, the 2010 "Whisper Whip" stands ready to greet the hundreds gathering for the 5th annual Scorpion Homecoming. The Whisper Whip was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Trail-A-Sled, Inc.

An extremely strong showing of Scorpion hardware was on display at this year's hometown July 4th parade. Thanks to Don Peterson, Steve Pierce, the Iron Hub Bog Busters and others for putting-on such a great show. Contributing to this year's Cuyuna Range Heritage Days celebration in Crosby's Memorial Park, Trail-A-Sled, Inc. co-founder Dick Harrison and Scorpion foreman and former Scorpion world record holder, Cliff Kittelson enjoy a pose beside a legendary Trail-A-Sled air-sled, built only two blocks from this location in 1963.

Scorpion Homecoming 2010. A large group of 1969 feature sleds were among the 268 Scorpion's which graced the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber of Commerce's on-ice event. Mild weather prompted the Homecoming's second highest attendance ever.

Together with representatives of the Minnesota Vikings cheerleading squad, Trail-A-Sled, Inc. co-founder Dick Harrison enjoys a glorious afternoon at the Great Minnesota Air Show. Dick had been invited by event organizers to display his extremely rare 1960 four-seat air sled as an exceptional example of early aircraft-derivative design innovation.

July 4, 2010. In support of Scorpion Homecoming 2011, several Scorpion-themed floats once again graced Crosby's annual July 4th festivities. Kudos to the Peterson's, Taylor's and Chuba's for their participation!

Scorpion Homecoming 2011 attracts a wide array of featured sleds, the Super Stingers of 1974 and 1975. Arrayed in a wide range of colors and configurations, twenty-eight of these wonderfully preserved machines were on display for the large number of enthusiasts in attendance.
